Favorite team when he was growing up: "I liked all of the teams, it was always changing."

When he began playing baseball: "I started playing tee ball when I was seven."

His advice for kids who hope to be in the Majors someday: "You've just got practice all the time and try to be around people who know how to play. Whether it's a parent or an older brother or friend - somebody who knows baseball."

If he could have dinner with any current or former Major Leaguer, it would be: "Sandy Koufax, and I did have dinner with him."

The stadium he most enjoys playing in: Fenway Park

Best and worst parts about playing pro baseball: "The best part is you have great competition everyday, and you get to travel around and you're playing a game for a living. The worst part is the same thing - the traveling, it gets old."

If he could add any one player to his roster, it would be: "Either Alex Rodriguez or Nomar Garciaparra, or Derek Jeter, any one of them - they're all great."
